and turn the problems I face in life into chances to make each day happy and peaceful number one listen twice as much as you speak listen twice as much as you speak is a saying that stresses how important it is is to listen more than speak it tells us to understand other people better before letting them know what we think this principle can help you communicate build connections and grow as a person we can learn more avoid misunderstandings and make deeper relationships if we listen more listening with intent take part in talks fully don’t let anything else take you from the speaker you can show that you understand by nodding or saying yes kindness listen to understand feelings and points of view think about what the person is going through respond carefully taking into account how the other person feels do not interrupt give other people time to finish their thoughts don’t feel the need to add your own thoughts make room for open conversation find out more make make things clearer that aren’t clear be genuinely interested in what the speaker has to say ask open-ended questions to get people to talk more deeply think before you reply take a moment to think about what was said think about what your answer will add to the conversation instead of responding right away try to give careful measured answers learn from other people hearing something new can help you understand things better learn about other people’s lives and points of view use what you’ve learned from other people in your own life make your relationships stronger listening builds respect and trust it’s nice when people feel like they are being heard and understood relationships that are good are built on clear communication cut down on misunderstandings misunderstandings are less likely to happen when you listen carefully Mak sure that the message that is received is correct helps to clear up any confusion early on in the talk being self-aware you can learn more about how you talk to people by listening more think about how often you talk and how often you listen change how you act to make encounters more fair awareness of other cultures listening helps you understand how people from different cultures talk to each other respects different points of view encourages talks that are open and include everyone a good habit that makes conversation and relationships better is to listen twice as much as you speak it takes time patience understanding and awareness but it leads to deeper connections and personal growth when you put attention first you make it easier to learn and understand what’s going on around you number two don’t allow the comments and attitudes of others to control your life people’s words thoughts and actions can change the way people think feel and act within their everyday lives but letting these outside things run your life can make you lose your personality your confidence and your happiness it’s important to keep your Independence and sense of self-worth by focusing on your own beliefs and goals instead of someone else’s op opinions know how much you’re worth know your own worth and don’t let other people tell you what you’re worth your self-esteem should come from your own beliefs and accomplishments build emotional strength learn to keep your feelings from affecting what other people say mindfulness and self-reflection are good ways to build a strong mental base don’t forget your goals you should always keep your life goals and ideals in mind instead of what other people think let these lead your actions learn to be assertive feel free to say what you think and what you want without getting angry even if people criticize you don’t change your mind about what you believe limit your exposure to bad things surround yourself with upbeat and helpful people keep your distance from people who are always negative or critical know that you have the power to choose remember that you can choose how to respond to other people you can avoid comments respond to them or learn from them but you should never let them run your life develop compassion for yourself being kind and patient with yourself is very important especially when you mess up recognize your flaws without letting other people’s opinions bring you down put limits on it set clear limits on what other people can do that you will not accept to keep your peace of mind make sure you clearly State these limits think about feedback in an unbiased way think about whether the comment is helpful or just negative for growth use constructive comments throw away criticism that doesn’t help accept who you really are stay true to yourself no matter what other people think or expect of you being honest makes life more satisfying and important if you let other people’s words and actions run your life you might lose touch with who you are focusing on self-worth mental strength and personal goals can help you go through life with integrity and confidence even when other people put pressure on you number three be ready to accept the worst things don’t always go as planned in real life problems and hurdles that come up out of the blue can be hard to deal with but getting ready to think about the worst case scenario can help us stay strong and calm when things get tough this way of thinking doesn’t mean being negative it means getting emotionally strong and ready for anything that might happen getting to know reality not everything we can control in life is out of our hands accepting the bad things could happen helps you deal with reality being emotionally ready being ready for the worst makes Shock and loss less painful being able to handle sudden problems requires a lot of emotional strength keeping things in perspective we can enjoy the good things that happen even more when we are ready for the worst it helps you keep a fair view of the good and bad things that happen in life getting rid of stress being mentally ready for any result can help you feel less anxious it helps people think more clearly and make better choices in times of trouble better at solving problems you can focus on answers instead of panicking once you’ve accepted the worst this way of thinking helps people plan ahead and think of new ideas getting along better with others sharing this way of thinking with others can help each other get through hard times it encourages open conversation and strength in numbers getting more confident accepting the worst can make you feel more confident because you’ll know you can handle anything that comes your way it makes you stronger in your resolve to deal with problems with courage and drive how to learn and grow problems even the worst ones teach us important lessons about life no matter how good or bad an event is it helps you grow and learn being ready for the worst doesn’t mean we’re negative or weak on the contrary it means we have a strong spirit and a strong will when we accept that life will have problems and challenges we’re not scared or confused when they happen we’re ready to face them and get through them think about Jesus Christ’s life he knew he would have to go through a lot of pain and sacrifice but he accepted it with an unbreakable spirit in his worst moments he prayed father if it is possible let this cup pass from me nevertheless not as I will but as you will this acceptance is not a sign of weakness but of faith and unconditional love you might ask how can I be ready to accept the worst in daily life one good way is to think of the worst things that could happen happen and get ready for them in your mind this doesn’t mean you’re expecting the worst but it does mean you’re ready to face it and not let it break you when you’re mentally ready for problems they won’t be as scary as you thought they would be stoic philosophy doesn’t tell us to be worried or pessimistic instead it teaches us to be more realistic and Strong by accepting that the worst could happen we also know that we can get through any problem Jesus and the stoic writers tell us to face life with courage and determination finding strength within ourselves start today by getting your mind ready for any problems that might come up to stop living in fear and to become stronger and more free once you do this you will see that nothing can beat you because you are in charge of yourself just like Jesus and epicus told you number four practice humility in your life being modest polite and aware of your flaws are all signs of humility realizing that we are not perfect and that we can always grow and get better is part of it being humble is important because it helps you have a good mood build stronger relationships and grow as a person take a look at your limitations you will learn from your mistakes akes if you accept that you don’t know everything accept constructive feedback as a chance to get better talk less and listen more make it a habit to listen to other people without talking over them know that everyone has something to teach and value different points of view show your thanks thank people for their hard work and kindness on a regular basis know that a lot of the time success comes from working together with others and getting help help others without expecting anything in return do nice things for other people without expecting anything in return helping others is a great way to be humble and learn to understand how others feel tell the truth when you’re wrong own up to your mistakes and say sorry in a real way know that being willing to admit your mistakes is a sign of power not weakness stay willing to learn you should always be ready to learn from anyone no matter what age status or background they have always be willing to learn and look for ways to improve do not boast do not talk about what you have accomplished or what you own let what you do talk louder than what you say treat everyone with care recognize that every person has worth and respect on their own kindness and respect should be shown to everyone no matter what their place or status is think about what you did check your actions and emotions often to make sure they match what it means to be humble try to get better at the things you may have done out of ego or Pride encourage and cheer up other people help other people with their projects and enjoy their achievements do something to make the people around you feel better and support them being humble is a lifelong process that makes you a better person and makes your relationship stronger when you demonstrate humility every day you create a huge range of chances for personal growth education and deep links with other people stoic philosophy says that being humble is a key part of staying balanced and aware of ourselves in life have you ever thought about why being humble is so important stoic thought inspired by wise people like epicus and Marcus Alias he always stresses how important it is to be humble in order to find peace and happiness being humble not only helps us get better but it also lets us connect with others in a more genuine and deep way when we listen own up to our mistakes and learn from others we not only grow but we also become an inspiration to others Jesus said those who lift themselves up will be brought to down and those who bring others down will be lifted up this saying encourages us to be humble and put the needs of others ahead of our own have you ever noticed that people who are respected and loved are often The Humble ones this isn’t a mistake being humble helps us build real longlasting connections with others because they can tell when we’re sincere and respect them when we’re humble we respect not only ourselves but also others seeing the worth in each person and learning from them think about how you can develop and keep your humility in your daily life stoic philosophy says that we can do this by constantly telling ourselves of our flaws and mistakes we also need to learn to listen more and speak less and we should always be willing to learn from the people around us Jesus and the stoics told us to live a humble life not for fame or power but for our own growth and the sake of getting along with others when we practice humility we not only improve ourselves but we also help make the world a better place neighborhood if you start practicing humility today your life will have more value and be Fuller number five do not cling to a single hope there are a lot of unknowns in life and clinging to one dream or expectation can make you sad if things don’t work out this lesson stresses how important it is to be able to change how we deal with problems in life we can explore many possibilities and opportunities which can lead to personal growth and success when we don’t hold on to a single dream how to understand flexibility being flexible means being able to deal with new things and events being adapt able helps us deal with the fact that life is uncertain what could go wrong if you hold on to just one hope when you put all your faith in one result you might be let down it might make it harder for you to see other options and ways the power of having many options your chances of success can go up if you have more than one hope or goal being open to new ideas and chances is a good thing getting stronger letting go of one dream at a time can help you become more emotionally strong it gets you ready to deal with failures and get back up stronger how mentality plays A Part people with a growth attitude are more likely to try new things and learn from their mistakes even when things don’t go as planned it keeps you going and makes you feel good keeping hope and reality in check it’s good good to have hope but it’s also important to know what will really happen having balance helps you stay stable and [Music] positive how to avoid clinging in real life instead of focused on one goal make a list of them stay in the present and don’t put too much faith in one Dream by practicing mindfulness build a support system to help you find your way through different roads getting smarter from mistakes think about times in the past when holding on to a single dream got in the way think about these things to make choices that are better for everyone in the future getting used to uncertainty uncertainty is a part of life and learning to welcome it can open up new doors this way of thinking makes you want to explore and be creative you can see a lot of different options when you don’t hold on to just one dream this way of doing things helps people be more resilient flexible and have a more satisfying life Journey number six always remember your mortality always remember your mortality which is sometimes written as Moto Mori is a philosophical phrase that means to remember that death is inevitable this idea comes from stoic thought and tells people to live with the knowledge that they are going to die this can help them live a more meaningful and purpose-driven life knowing that life is short forces us to focus on what’s important set our values in order of importance and enjoy the present time how to understand death because people are mortal they will always be dead seeing death as a normal part of life can help you feel less afraid and anxious about the unknown historical background momento Mori has been an important idea in many societies and philosophies but it was especially important in Ancient Rome and stoicism people used it to think about themselves and remember to live in a good way how to live with purpose being aware of One’s Own Death can inspire people to work toward important goals it helps people focus their time and energy on things that really count getting more grateful realizing that life is temporary makes you value the present moment more it helps us be thankful for the things people and chances we have in our lives accepting that things change the fact that life is temporary can be a strength that helps us let go of small worries accepting that things change can help you think more clearly and be more adaptable moral living being aware of your own death can help you make moral choices and act in an ethical way it can make you care about other people and want to make the world a better place getting over fear accepting that you will die can make you less afraid of it which can lead to a more happy and free life it inspires people to be brave in the face of problems and uncertainty how it works in Modern Life using the momento Mori Concept in your daily life can help you be more aware it reminds us to live in a way that is true to who we are and to stay away from things that take our attention away from our true ideals thoughts on religion and philosophy death often makes people think more deeply about their spiritual views and the meaning of life it makes us think about what kind of memory we want to leave behind steps you can take regularly think about how short life is by meditating writing in a book or just sitting and thinking decide what’s most important to you based on your long-term values and goals to stay in the present practice awareness and gratitude every day note that always remember your mortality does not mean to dwell on death but to live your life more fully and on Purpose By remembering that we will die one day we can live more meaningful moral and thankful lives making the most of the time we have left if someone Believes In Me they will live even after they die and I will rise again this teaching from Jesus not only gives us hope for life after death but it also reminds us of how important it is to live a life full of faith and meaning knowing that this life is short this is not meant to make us fearful or pessimistic but to encourage us to cherish every moment and live sincerely and meaningfully knowing that our time in this world is limited we won’t waste it on meaningless things but on loving sharing and being compassionate for example the story of Tim Ferris author of the famous book The 4H Hour Work Week shows how this works in an interview feris talked about how facing the idea of death changed the way he lived and worked he said that he was going through a severe mental crisis that made him think deeply about life and death instead of being controlled by fear feris chose to see death as a way to live more fully he decided that each day should be lived as if it were the last which helped him focus on what really matters building deep relationships following his Passions and making a real contribution to number seven make friends with the winners it’s amazing how much the people we spend time with can affect our success happiness and mental health we can greatly affect our own paths if we make friends with winners people who have a good mood are successful and are always trying to do their best winners have traits like toughness drive and positivity that can Inspire and drive us to reach our full potential by surrounding ourselves with like-minded people we build a network of support that helps us grow learn and [Music] succeed effects of the environment our friends and family have a big impact on what we think do and want putting yourself around strong and positive people can boost your motivation and mindset learning from Habits that work success successful people have formed habits that help them Reach their goals they can teach you how to do things by letting you watch and talk to them opportunities for networking winners often have access to tools and networks that are useful making friends with them can lead to new connections and possibilities feeling good and motivated winners have a positive attitude and a strong which can spread to others they can help you stay motivated and on track with your goals when you’re with them a system to help growth a group of winners can help each other out and support each other which is good for both personal and business growth they can help you move forward by giving you advice being a mentor and giving you comments that you can use pushing and being responsible winners push themselves and everyone else around them to do their best they can help you stick to your plans and push you to do better getting in the mindset to win when you hang out with winners you start to think about success and possibilities this change in how you think can change how you deal with problems and chances motivating and inspiring people winners often have stories and accomplishments that are inspiring their Journey can help you stay motivated to reach your own goals and complete your own projects keeping relationships in check it’s good to be friends with winners but it’s also important to keep your relationships balanced help and encourage people in your group no matter how successful they are right now effects from now on getting to know winners is an investment in your happiness and success in the long run the less lesons and ideals you learn from these friends can change your life for a long time number eight ignore those who hate you in life not everyone will like or back you there are many reasons why someone might not like or even hate you such as Envy misunderstanding or their own fears focusing on these bad feelings can make you tired and stop you from growing instead you need to learn how to ignore the bad things that people say stay true to yourself and keep your eyes on your goals you can keep your peace of mind and keep doing well by ignoring people who hate you figure out where hate comes from know that people who hate usually have problems or fears that make them hate the bad things they say are more about them than about you don’t let it bother you each person has their own unique View and their views are not objective think about how valuable you are and remember that other people’s views don’t make you who you are keep your energy safe spend time with people who make you feel good and help you don’t pay attention to bad energy because it can drain your good mood do not lose sight of your goals do not lose sight of your plans and goals don’t let the bad things get in the way of your path develop emotional strength to handle bad add comments strengthen your mind and emotions build up your self-esteem and inner power to stay strong choose to be quiet or kind in response there are times when the best answer is nothing at all if you have to be kind in response to ease stress and get above the situation surround yourself with good things build a group of friends and family who will back you do the things that make you happy and satisfied be open to criticism and learn from it distinguish between constructive feedback and hate that has no basis in reality for self-improvement use true feedback and get rid of negative feedback think about what you did make sure that what you do is in line with your beliefs and ideals be willing to think about yourself and grow as a person keep going don’t let anger or bad feelings stop you focus on your personal and business growth as you continue to move forward and change ignoring people who hate you doesn’t mean you’re avoiding truth it just means you’re picking where to put your attention and energy you can live a happier life without having to deal with negative people if you focus on making friends and growing as a person there will always be people in our Lives who don’t like us criticism judgment and even hostility can hurt and upset our inner peace but ask yourself are the haters worth your worry and concern or should you focus on those who love and support you when we’re around people who don’t like us our first instinct might be to react argue or even retaliate but these actions only make things worse in our lives stoic philosophy tells us to focus on what we can control and ignore what we can’t since we can’t change other people’s thoughts and feelings don’t worry about them instead keep your own peace and Tranquility within while he was Emperor Marcus aelius was also a stoic philosopher who wrote In His meditations if anyone can refute me show me I’m making a mistake or looking at things from the wrong perspective I’ll gladly change it’s the truth I’m after and the truth has never hurt anyone what hurts is to persist in self deceit and ignorance this wise saying shows how important it is to deal with negative opinions in a smart way and choose what is best for our own growth so what will you do will you keep letting haters control your feelings and actions or will you rise above them with tolerance and focus on what and who really matters share your thoughts in the comments below and remember that life is too short to be affected by people who don’t bring you anything good instead focus on the people who love and support you and let go of the people who aren’t worth your time and attention this quote really speaks to me as I look into the deep wisdom of Jesus let your light shine before others so that they may see your good deeds and praise your father in Heaven this saying leads us to one of Jesus most important habits which is also key number nine to becoming very smart number nine always look for the good in things the phrase always look for the good in things tells you to think about the good things in people events and life in general this point of view can help you have a more positive attitude be more resilient and be healthier overall people can deal with problems better become more grateful and make relationships Stronger by looking for the good in everything a positive Viewpoint focusing on the good things in a situation instead of the problems can change how we feel and how we deal with them stressing the good things in life can help you keep a positive and helpful [Music] mood building up resilience finding the good in bad situations can help you be more mentally tough focusing on possible solutions and learning chances can help help you get past problems increasing your gratitude being thankful grows when you look for the good in things regularly noticing the good things that happen in your life can make you happier and more satisfied with your life in general better relationships focusing on the good qualities and skills of others makes relationships better it makes people appreciate each other more avoid arguments and value each other more getting rid of stress having a good attitude can help us feel less stressed by changing how we see and deal with problems finding the good in everyday life can help you relax and feel better mentally helping people grow as people seeing the good in things helps you improve yourself and grow as a person it encourages people to build on their skills and learn from their mistakes better ways to solve problems a cheerful attitude can help you come up with better and more creative ways to solve problems focusing on the good things leads to proactive and positive answers effects on other people many times having a positive mood can make the people around you also feel better because of this it can help make both personal and business settings more supportive and encouraging making it a habit to always see the good in things can can help you in many areas of your life and your relationships promoting a positive outlook can help people feel better emotionally make their relationships better and deal with life’s obstacles better finding the good in everything doesn’t mean ignoring problems or suffering it means seeing them as chances to learn and grow when we look for the good in everything we learn to be grateful and optimistic about life even when it’s hard this helps us keep our spirits up and get through anything instead of letting bad feelings sweep us away we focus on positive values and the lessons we can learn as an example consider the story of Nick vui a man born without arms or legs who became a famous motivational speaker instead of giving up Nick chose to focus on the good things in life which he now shares with others happiness hope and thanks Nick once said I can choose to focus on what I don’t have or what I do have I have chosen to focus on the good things and that has changed my life Nick’s positive attitude is what helped him get through all of his problems and become an inspiration to millions of people people all over the world think about Jesus who went through a lot of pain and struggle but never lost faith and always saw things through the lens of Love and Hope even when things were the worst he found the good and gave people hope it’s easy to see how to find the good in every situation in the story of Jesus you might be wondering how to apply this principle to your everyday life here are some tips when things go wrong think about the good things that can come out of it ask yourself what can I learn from this how can I grow from this when you change your perspective you’ll see that every problem has a lesson to teach you you a chance to get stronger and smarter start today by always looking for the good in everything and you’ll find that your life is richer and more fulfilling this is how we not only become true stoics but also follow jesus’ teachings and find light and joy in every moment of life but not everyone can confidently find the good in life many people are stuck in negative thoughts if you feel sorrow and guilt don’t worry stoic philosophy has secrets that can help you get it all back number 10 guilt is a trap any kind of guilt can freeze us and drain Our Life Energy when we sin we hurt not only other people but also ourselves sin is like a trap once you fall into it it’s hard to get out it takes over your mind locking you up in the pain of conscience and bad bad results this not only stops us from growing as people but it also takes away our chances to learn and move forward Jesus taught Watch and Pray so that you will not fall into temptation the spirit is willing but the flesh is weak this teaching reminds us of how weak we are when it comes to sin and Temptation and how important it is to stay faithful and alert when we are alert we can see Temptations coming and resist them this can be seen in the story of Nelson Mandela as a Young Man Mandela took part in violent actions against apathy but he realized that violence only leads to sin and can’t bring true peace after years in prison Mandela chose the path of peace and Reconciliation giving up violence and sin to make a better future he once said that forgiveness liberates the soul and removes fear here which is why it is such a powerful weapon have you ever thought that sin not only hurts others but also weighs on your soul when we fall into the Trap of sin we lose freedom and peace of mind to get out of this trap we need to be vigilant and determined to live by high moral standards both stoic philosophy and Jesus teachings stress how important it is to avoid sin and live a good life when we realize that sin is a trap we are more careful about what we do and how we make choices you can avoid falling into the Trap of sin by living a Vigilant and good life if you do this you will not only become a true stoic but you will also live according to Jesus’s teachings finding freedom and peace in your life as we’ve learned more about stoic philosophy we’ve come to deeply understand the principle of act as if nothing bothers you from epicus this principle is not just simple advice it’s bothering you let the light of wisdom and courage guide you just like Jesus taught us about compassion and forgiveness life is a journey and we have the power to choose how we will react choose to
